Brightbench sells digital products (Excel workbooks, Windows tools, 3D print files, textures and printables) through this website, Gumroad and Polar. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and how to ask us to delete it. Questions: [email protected].

In short

This website

The site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

A first-party counter records, for each day, how many times each page was viewed and how many times a buy button was clicked. If you arrived through a link in one of our posts, it also records which site the link came from (for example "instagram"); to do that, the site keeps that one word in your browser's session storage for the current tab only. It also counts views and clicks per approximate location (country and city), which Cloudflare derives from the network address of the request; the address itself is not stored. The counter stores only these totals: no IP address, cookie, device ID or other identifier, so it cannot be linked to you.

Product pages load Gumroad's checkout script so that the Gumroad checkout can open on this site. If you use the Gumroad checkout, Gumroad's own privacy policy and cookies apply to it.

Purchases

Checkout is provided by Gumroad or Polar, depending on the button you choose; they act as the seller of record and process your payment. The store you use collects what it needs for the payment and tax, and shares your name, email address and order details with us so that we can deliver the product, provide support and handle refunds. Their privacy policies apply to the data they hold: Gumroad and Polar.

For our own sales reporting we keep order records (product, price, fees, refund status, country and date). We do not keep buyers' email addresses in these records.

Support email

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you and, where relevant, to handle a refund. We keep the conversation only as long as needed for that, and delete it on request.

Social media and Instagram

We publish posts about our products on our own social media accounts, including Instagram. For Instagram we use Meta's official API only to publish our own posts to our own account. We do not use it to collect, store or analyse information about other Instagram users, followers, commenters or messages, and we do not use social media data for advertising. The access credential for this is stored encrypted on our hosting provider and is used only for publishing. If you interact with our posts, Meta's privacy policy applies to that platform.

Our products

Our workbooks, tools and files run on your own computer. They contain no tracking and do not send data to us or to anyone else. The sample data inside them is fictional.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.

Your rights and how to delete your data

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. To have your data deleted, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data" from the email address you used with us (for a purchase: the address used at checkout). We will delete our support emails and any other records linked to that address within 30 days and confirm by email.

Gumroad and Polar keep their own purchase records, which tax and accounting rules may require them to retain; you can also ask them directly, and we will help if you ask. Deleting your data does not affect products you have already downloaded.

Children

This website and our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
